My college education prepared me for a career as an educator. While in Horry County of South Carolina, home of Myrtle Beach, I was chosen to teach in a program through the state for students with ability, but not performing to capabilities. This was Project Succeed.
I was chosen to be the mathematics teacher in a group of four teachers to develop a curriculum for gifted and talented students in the same county. This developed teaming for a common goal among the teachers and the building of lesson concepts in a concrete sequential manner for others to learn and be motivated. Since this study was taught on an itinerate basis, I learned to prepare materials for my lessons that were easily transported and set up for the duration of the lesson.

Summer gave opportunity to work as a telephone operator and bank teller. Neither job “went home” with me, but gave me a real perspective of dealing with the public in situations where personal needs and desires were the driving force of the business. Both jobs also required meticulous attendance to detail that were critical to the success and bottom dollar line for the business.

In 1988 a major career change led me into real estate. It has been amazing to see the career exposures and experiences pull together into a new career that truthfully uses all of my life experiences to assist others with the most improtant decision of their life - where they will live. I was shocked when the realization that my time in real estate exceeded my time in education. My goal has never been to be the top agent, but to be the best agent. My desire is to handle the affairs of other in a fair and loving manner that gives them comfort that the decisions made are the best for them. This goal has given me the most dynamic and wonderful friends that one could ever be blessed to know. Most of my business now comes to me by referral from past clients or other agents who know me and my personal as well as work ethics.
